ADDITIONAL MEDICINE DUTY

In 1915, the two basic rates of medicine duty, namely 1½d and 3d, were each doubled. In order to allow existing stocks of normal medicine duty lables to be used up, a provisional issue of overprinted postage stamps was made. These were to be stuck on to the existing lables.
