BRITISH REVENUES

Britain appears to have been a country that thrived on taxes and buerocracy and it therefore comes as no suprise that there are a massive variety of revenue stamps, of which the following are but a few.

The key plate issues formed the basis of a significant percentage of the revenue stamps of Great Britain.   The Transfer Duty stamps used on stocks and shares between 1888 and 1893.   The Judicature Fee stamps were issued after the transfer of vaious justice administrations to a single court.
